Specialized Foster CareAt Alliance Youth Services Inc., we pride ourselves on providing nurturing, stable, professional and family-based, child-centred, person centred, long term placements that stop the cycle of placement breakdown for difficult, hard to serve children and youth, as well as adults.
We have committed, trained and highly supported Parent Therapists (Foster Parents) that understand the value of collaboration to ensure placement stability. Alliance Youth Services Inc. strives to build the capacity and skills of individuals, families, caregivers and agencies to improve the quality of life for the individuals we care for.
Our Parent Therapists (Foster Parents), support staff and management team receive the highest levels of training to ensure that the individuals we serve benefit from long term, stable placements that meet their unique needs, as well as come to know a sense of family and community through a permanency approach to placement.
In our Specialized Foster Homes, communication of rules and expectations are established based on the developmental and adaptive functioning of the child. Through a strength based, ability based approach, our children and youth also experience competency and success in situations that they have often failed to in other settings.
